Key Idea: God, our life-giver, deliverer, and refuge, remains for us and we toward him; he keeps safe all who trust and abide in him.
Surrounded:
Enemies on every side,
We stand
Outnumbered.
But God is
With us and
For us,
And we are
In him and
Toward him.
Secure,
We rest,
God on every side,
Protecting.
Our God is our life-giver, deliverer, and refuge. He cares for his people, acting for them from love by watching and guarding them. He guides his people, leading them on a secure path and carefully directing their course. He is their refuge, place of confident security, and the home to which they turn in desperation.
God makes it possible to trust and abide in his presence. His love and forness make relying on him with the whole self possible and rational. God is the one in whom his people place their confidence. By choosing to abide in him, they live in him and have him as their final domicile at all times and when enemies surround them.
